The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) was created to provide crisis intervention and support to Nevada families dealing with a behavioral or mental health crisis. For so long, families have had no choice but to go to the emergency room due to lack of resources or knowledge of available resources.
MCRT is here to help. We’re mobile so we come to you. We also provide help over the phone.
MCRT supports youth and families of youth under the age of 18 showing signs of behavioral or mental health issues that pose a threat to the child’s stability within their home, school or community, including but not limited to:
MCRT responds to youth and families of youth in crisis, over the phone or in person, in order to reduce emergency room visits and ensure everyone receives the proper care.
Trained mental health professionals are available to evaluate, prevent or resolve a crisis and decide if a referral will be made to a community resource or one of our qualified specialists.
If care is needed beyond a phone call a response team will go to the youth and their family and work to resolve the crisis.
MCRT offers short-term assistance and case management services inside and outside of the home through a Child and Family Team process. We also provide community-based services the youth can easily access if a crisis should arise.
Follow-up and referral care through community partners is available to the youth and their family. MCRT is here to ensure a smooth transition to any support and services that may be necessary.
